Locally, both Orange County and the City of Orlando have officially declared Nov. 17, 2016 “Blue Man Group Day” in celebration of the group daring to live in full color for 25 years. Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs joined the Blue Men for an official proclamation ceremony last night (Nov. 16) at Universal Orlando Resort. Continuing the celebration, Universal Orlando Resort will illuminate its iconic entryway arches blue for the evening tonight (Nov. 17).

(Nov. 1, 2016) – In Spring 2017, fans will be immersed in the world of America’s No. 1 late-night talk show “The Tonight Show” in a brand-new attraction – “Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Today, Universal Orlando Resort reveals new details about the ride – where guests will get up close and personal with the show’s most hilarious segments before taking off on a wild and action-packed race through New York against Jimmy Fallon himself.
The attraction will also feature cameos by familiar faces like Sara from “Ew,” Jimmy in “Tight Pants,” “Tonight Show” announcer Steve Higgins, and Grammy award-winning band, The Roots, who are also the musical masterminds behind the original attraction score.

HANG OUT IN STUDIO 6B
· Guests can enjoy a special live performance from the Ragtime Galsbarbershop quartet in theStudio 6B Club. Plus, guests will have the chance to meet and interact with The Tonight Show’s beloved mascot, Hashtag the Panda.
· Studio 6B Club will also give guests the opportunity to play host at their own Interactive Desk where they can send Jimmy Fallon’s famous Thank You Notes to their friends and family, prep for their race with a ‘Jimmy Drive’ retro-style video game, and watch their favorite show clips.
GET READY FOR A CRAZY RIDE
· Guests will board the world’s first-ever flying theater, which seats up to 72 audience members, for their thrilling race against Jimmy Fallon.
· The race will take guests through the streets of New York City and all the way to the moon and back. They’ll encounter iconic landmarks from the Statue of Liberty to the Empire State Building to everything in between.

Universal Orlando Resort made National Chocolate Day even sweeter at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, where renowned chocolate artist Paul Joachim made a special appearance and hand-crafted a variety of chocolate sculptures in front of guests. In addition, the chefs at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium whipped up a special milkshake to commemorate National Chocolate Day.
Paul Joachim created four incredible chocolate masterpieces inspired by Universal Orlando’s experiences, including the ferocious face of King Kong, the iconic Universal Orlando globe, a massive, 100-pound recreation of The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and more.

New York, August 8, 2016 – NBCUniversal today announced an exclusive deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution for broadcast and cable network television rights in the United States to all of the films in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World franchise. Beginning July 1, 2018, all eight HARRY POTTER films can be seen on NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s USA Network and Syfy in a deal that also gives rights to air the films across all NBCUniversal television networks. The agreement includes exclusive basic cable rights to the new FANTASTIC BEASTS films – the first of which releases early November 2016. In addition, the partnership incorporates exclusive content and events for the Universal theme parks.
As the exclusive television home for J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, USA Network and Syfy will partner with Warner Bros. to bring viewers content that includes extended director’s cut versions of the first two Harry Potter films; the 2011 “When Harry Left Hogwarts” featurette; and 3D versions of the last two films in the Harry Potter series.

The multi-business partnership includes both on-air and digital rights across NBCUniversal television networks through April 2025. Additionally through this deal, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Japan can explore a range of new opportunities including fan events, movie screenings and promotional activities tied to the “Harry Potter” franchise and the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts” film series. The deal also envisages collaboration on joint digital initiatives to support the franchise, working with J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore, the digital heart of the Wizarding World, which hosts articles, features and exclusive, original writing by J.K. Rowling.
