SeaWorld Orlando welcomed thousands of guests this morning to play Pokemon Go.
as early as 7 a.m. annual pass holders were waiting in line to get into SeaWorld when they opened at 8 a.m. this morning. The supersize Orlando team had the opportunity to chase some Pokemon until the site crashed around 9 o’clock. The official event was supposed to start at 11 a.m. but due to the servers still being down lots of guests are still looking at their phone waiting for that unique opportunity when they had the chance to chase their favorite Pokemon around the park.
Even though the servers were not on Pokemon Fanatics are still in High Spirits anxiously awaiting to start playing.
When supersize Orlando first got into the park around 8:30 we were bombarded with Pokemon they had set out tons of lures all over the park and everywhere we went they had attracted Pokemon characters.
The downtime from the servers gave guests the opportunity to check out some of SeaWorld’s amazing shows and interact with their beautiful animals. For the most part guests truly understood and continue to have fun around the park.
According to the Pokemon Go twitter account, they were part of a ddos attack. Which means someone hacked in and put a trojan on their servers. They are currently working on maintenance to fix the issues. Even though SeaWorld was not available for comment, with an event this size hopefully we will be able to enjoy it again in the future.
