Posted on

Today Supersize Orlando is proud to celebrate the legacy of Dawn Brancheau by participating in the sixth annual Dream Big 5K at Sea World Orlando. Our verry own Jessyca Carr , Friends, supporters and fans gathered together to run, walk, and party through the park, while raising awareness and funds for some of Dawn’s favorite local charities. This year was a big one for our family Jessyca explains  because for the first time ever, our little ones ran (walk/skipped) with us. They did great, and were really excited about the post-race party where they got to hang out with favorite animal ambassadors!

DAWNS STORY (Copied from website)

For Dawn Brancheau it began with a dream. After watching the Shamu show as a child, she was so moved by the bond shared between the whales and their caretakers that she made it her life’s ambition become a Sea world whale trainer. Though 1000 miles of land separated this young Northwest Indiana girl from the nearest ocean, Dawn let nothing hinder her from daring to dream.

During her 15 years as a Sea world trainer, she not only lived her lifelong dream, she mastered her craft. Dawn earned love and respect from her colleagues and admiration from the animal- training world. Don inspired millions of our guest to love Marine life as she did, and to serve as passionate stewards of their environment.

Dawn savored life and nothing brought her more joy than her husband, family, friends, and her chocolate labs. Dawn live each day to the fullest and was always looking for ways to brighten someone’s day through a kind and loving act. Whether you were a family member, a friend or a total stranger, Dawn would always make you feel special. Dawn lived her life with a purpose in honor of Dawn we choose to do the same!

Today’s event was hosted by her family and friends to help raise money that directly goes to help animals and children and the clear message to everyone was to be like Dawn and never give up on your dreams!
