Last weekend, the Orlando Eye hosted a special event for a couple who wanted to surprise their friends and family with a gender reveal for their new bundle of joy. Adam Warren approached the Orlando Eye with the idea to light the 400-foot observation wheel in pink or blue to reveal the gender of his and his wife Amanda’s new baby.
Warren asked a family friend to obtain the results from the doctor’s office to pass the information onto the Orlando Eye lighting technicians to keep the gender a secret until Saturday evening. Friends and family members gathered in the I-Drive 360 courtyard to watch for the wheel to be lit in blue for a boy or pink for a girl.
At 7:15 p.m., the group celebrated upon learning that the Warrens are expecting a baby boy!
The Orlando Eye is lit up nightly in special colors for holidays and other celebrations. For more information on the observation wheel, OfficialOrlandoEye.com.
